The de la Cruz Collection has inaugurated a residency program inviting artists to Miami for a period of 4 -6 weeks. Mary Ceruti director of the SculptureCenter, a non-collecting contemporary art museum in New York, will collaborate with the de la Cruz Collection and select participating artists for the first year. There are no specific production or presentation requirements however it is expected that artists will use the opportunity to further their work. The residency is an opportunity for artists to explore the history, culture and natural resources of South Florida but also an opportunity to connect with the diverse and active art community of South Florida.
