FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MIAMI, NOVEMBER 12, 2010

A 1955 portrait by Salvador Dali of Dolores Suero Falla, Carlos de la Cruz's mother, inspired the 2010 - 2011 exhibition.  Inspired by Surrealism and covering a broad stylistic and conceptual range of works, this year's installation will establish a dialogue between Dali's portrait and a selection of works from the collection.

The de la Cruz Collection Contemporary Art Space, located in Miami's Design District opened in December 2009 during Art Basel Miami Beach.  This new space serves as an extension to the home of Carlos and Rosa de la Cruz where their collection has been and continues to be available for public viewing.

As part of the educational mission, the Collection will continue their programming that includes rotating exhibitions, permanent installations, student workshops, lecture series and site-specific projects throughout
the year. Admission is free -

JIM DRAIN: SMALL REPRIEVE

This project is sponsored by the de la Cruz Collection, Craig Robins Collection and Cymbal Development.
