This year, twenty-two Bachelor of Fine Arts graduates and three professors from the New World School of the Arts will participate in a two-week travel program to Europe, initiated and sponsored by the de la Cruz Collection and The John S. & James L. Knight Foundation.

The purpose of this travel program is to enrich the education of students through exposure to both, the national and international art scene. The graduating BFA class will visit Europe and experience Venice, Italy and Paris, France. Participants of the travel program will engage, experience, and explore all aspects, historical, and cultural offerings of the cities they are visiting.

In Venice, students will attend the 57th Venice Biennale and visit historical and contemporary art museums including, Palazzo Grassi, Punta de la Dogana, La Accademia, and Scuola Grande di San Rocco, to name a few.

The group will then travel to Paris, France, the "City of Lights," where they will continue a cultural excursion, bringing them closer to some of the world's most sought-after works of art, and historical sights capturing Europe's extravagant history.

This program has been made possible with generous contributions from Rosa and Carlos de la Cruz (de la Cruz Collection) in partnership with The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
Additional support provided by Mr. Craig Robins and Mrs. Jackie Soffer, Mrs. Carole and Mr. Frederick Guest, Village of Bal Harbor, and The Miami Foundation.
