Inspired by a description Yoko Ono gave of a childhood exercise she was given, this workshop focuses on excersises that encourage participants to listen to their surrounding environment and transpose them into experimental musical scores.

This workshop was broken down into two sections. One, where students were given a brief introduction to experimental sound pratices (John Cage, Yoko Ono) as well as a walking tour of the space, where students will be asked to notice the different sonic nuissances in the space. The second part of the workshop involved students experimenting with their own recorded found sounds and sharing their findings with the rest of the workshop's participants.
